Media Dirt

I have held my tongue long enough and it is time to say something!

The dirt that has come out on Tiger Woods is out of control. Was he unfaithful...yes. Is what he did stupid...yes. IS IT BETWEEN HE AND HIS WIFE...YES!

It doesn't matter if you are Bill Clinton, Kobe Bryant or Tiger Woods, what goes on between husband and wife is their private life. Does it affect you...no. Doesn't everyone have a personal life...yes.

How many wives have had a husband that has been unfaithful? How many wives have been unfaithful? There have been millions of them. But does the media care....NO. Would the media cover your story...NO. Nobody cares about your personal life, so why should they care about a person in the spotlight? Why...because it sells magazines and papers...that's all.

Tiger has been vilified in the press, the women who slept with him are seeking their fifteen minutes of fame hoping to get money out of this. Am I condoning his behavior...NO.

But you also have to look at what he has done during this situation. He refused to talk to the police about the automobile accident. Everyone is asking why. I believe it is because he is protecting Elin. She came after him with a golf club. She could be charged with assult with a deadly weapon and he has no intention of letting that happen to her. He has no intention of hurting her even more.

They talk about him taking drugs...how many of you take Ambien to go to sleep at night? I do and that means I take drugs too. Is that a crime...NO and is it anyone elses business? NO

Is Tiger President...NO. Does he get paid $200,000 a year to run the country...NO. He is entertainment and very, very good at what he does.

Michael Jackson was very good at what he did and we have spent months on his death. When a President dies, we spend maybe a week on the details of his death.

Let everyone be human and quit vilifing what they have done. Let people who entertain us...that means all entertainment fields, have a personal life. You do...and it doesn't make headlines. These people give millions of dollars to charities and help out our communities and our homeless and our children. Shouldn't we thank them for all they do and quit vilifying them...no matter who they are?

Quit buying the rags that make money off of them...they certainly aren't making money off of you!
